A few months ago, I came across an opportunity with one of my clients, Kern Assistive Technology Center in that they were in need of a new I.T. manager. This is not the usual type of work that my company does but since I personally have an I.T. support background, I figured that I would take it on for the fun of it.
Fast forward to now, I never anticipated enjoying it this much. I didn't realize how much I missed this type of work. So, I have decided to create a child company under Definition Systems for exactly that, I.T. Management and Support. This new company will be called Definition Support.
I.T. Management Services — Outsourced I.T. department handling desktops, workstations, servers and network. OS support includes Windows XP/Vista/7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Linux, Solaris. Two tiers: On demand ($45/hour, $40/hour for non-profits) and Proactive ($75/month/computer, $100/month/server with 6 month commitment and 1 month trial).
Managed Remote Backup and Recovery Services — Backup solutions to off-site data centers.
